Day of Embroidery in Ukraine & Intercultural Day at WSG University

20May2022

Let's start this article colorfully and in a positive way.

May 19 was celebrated as the Day of Embroidery in Ukraine. In this connection, there were decided to organize the common Intercultural Day to show our academic society as well as locals what kinds of diversities combine us and build a friendly international community.

We suppose this task was successfully fulfilled.

Each participant did not leave out places without a small handmade work: a beautiful bracelet in colors of the Ukrainian/Polish national flags as well as a small craft doll that will keep out of winless. The way to sit different cultural representatives at the one table is to provide a possibility to do something with crochet. You see we are diverse but combined by the same crafts.

Also, there were opportunities to follow Ukrainian, Kazachstan, Armenian, Georgian, Nigerian, and Polish cultures as well as try their national food.

The culinary quests of the program were the Ukrainian borshch, Italian, New Zealand, and Israelian sweets and bakery, Armenian, and Georgian bread with vegetable marrow paste.

Our students from Kazachstan represented their tongue breakers: baursak, chak-chak, pastry straws, and echpochmak. The Nigerian representatives were treating ourselves to tasty, spicy rice.

Believe us all of the participants made the whole day!!!

In our turn, we would like to say thank you to all participants, quests, organisators as well, for this chance to make a contribution to friend intercultural communities.

Well done, guys!
