Erasmus Intensive Programmes

The University of Economy in Bydgoszcz has been participating in the Erasmus Programme since March 2005. For a couple of years, our University has taken part in the various projects carried out within LLP-Erasmus (LLP-The Life Learning Programme).

An Intensive Programme (IP) is a short programme of study which brings together students and teaching staff from higher education institutions of at least three participating countries. It can last from 10 continuous full days to 6 weeks of subject related work. So far, our students have participated in two different Intensive Programmes:



INTERATE

International Approaches to Entrepreneurship

The upcoming edition: 11th-24th May 2014

The Intensive Programme “International Approaches to Entrepreneurship” (INTERATE) is designed to develop the participating students’ skills that are needed for successful entrepreneurship implementing an intercultural multidisciplinary approach. The IP aims at providing students with academic and practical knowledge in areas of management, project management as well as presentation skills, creative problem solving, effective teamwork with the main focus on intercultural differences. The soft and hard multidisciplinary skills and the experience gained during the IP will shape a deeper understanding of cultural differences that may occur in the area of the European Union and its impact on successful entrepreneurship in multicultural Europe. What is more, participation in the IP will create a possibility of developing students’ interest in intercultural entrepreneurship and increasing their chances in the international labour market.

The multidisciplinary programme is designed for Bachelor second-and third-year students representing different fields of study. The teaching contents of the IP will be provided by the teaching staff representing all partner institutions. The contents will be delivered in innovative ways of teaching, including project work in intercultural teams, varying lectures, role-plays and creative solution-based learning.

The main aim of INTERATE is to provide students with a piece of academic and practical knowledge in the areas of management, project management as well as presentation skills, creative problem solving, effective teamwork with the main focus on intercultural differences.

PROMAND
Programming Mobile Applications for Android System

The upcoming edition: 9th-22nd March 2014

The objective of PROMAND is to provide students with knowledge concerning Android specifications and the basic principles of effective application development for that platform, with a focus on the use of such applications in various enterprises. By taking part in the Intensive Programme, students will not only acquire skills helpful for efficient programming but they will also learn how to design applications that may be useful in the business environment. The competencies acquired during the programme will help the participants to understand better the needs of enterprises, with a particular focus on IT development.

ECOPRENEURSHIP
Ecopreneurship Approach in the Context of European Environment

The upcoming edition: 4th-18th May 2014

The intensive Programme "Ecopreneurship Approach In The Context Of European Environment" is a project organized by Vilniaus kolegija / University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania). In the workshops will participate students and teachers from the Universidade da Coruña (Spain), Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen (Belgium), Jyväskylän ammattikorkeakoulu (Finland) and the University of Economy in Bydgoszcz.
The main objective of the IP is to support social, responsible and for and foremost ecological aspects of running a business. Furthermore, the course aims at providing students with knowledge in areas of ecopreneurship as well as effective communication and teamwork.

Data Science for Business and Government

The upcoming edition: 30th March–12th April 2014

This is an Intensive Program (IP) for European Higher education Institutions, which are funding by Lifelong Learning Programme ERASMUS. In this case, a coordinator institution is BA School of Business and Finance (BSF) but totally we are 10 partners from 9 countries.

International Summer School “Shaping regions in transition: small town and rural development challenged by socio-demographic change”

The upcoming edition: 16th-29th September 2013

The International Summer School brings together students and teachers of different disciplines and European countries (Bulgaria, Finland, Poland, Romania, and Germany) to work on a multi-perspective and interdisciplinary understanding of current problems related to small towns and rural development within European regions challenged by demographic change and socio-economic transformation. Undergraduate (Bachelor-level) and graduate students (Master-level) learn relevant theoretical, practical, and methodological knowledge and develop in cooperation with regional actors future scenarios as well as practical and transferable strategies and solutions for regions in transition on the basis of the example of Lassan, a small town and rural community in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.
