Mobility for studies

A. Application procedure

Step 1- Select University

The student after receiving the message that is qualified to take part in Erasmus+ mobility,  confirms which University wants to choose for studying in the framework of an Erasmus+ programme. The Student makes contact with University in order to complete necessary procedures for the recruitment of foreign universities which WSG has a bilateral agreement.

Step 2- Send documents

Before filling application form, be sure to take these steps :

Step 2.1- Confirmation E-mail

Make sure that your university exchange Coordinator has nominated you (sent a confirmation e-mail to the International Affairs Office of the partner universities )

Step 2.2- Application documents

Make sure that you have these documents (you will need to scan and attach them to the Application form):

  • Learning Agreement ( LA )

After receiving an Acceptance Letter from a foreign University in the framework of an Erasmus+ programme, fill up LA according to the list of courses conducted by the selected University in an analogous semester, sign it, and contact the University Coordinator to sign it as well.

  • Application form

After receiving all application documents with the Application form, send them by e-mail to a foreign University. Familiarise with requirements of Application Procedure at host University

  • Financial agreement

- After receiving confirmation from a foreign University of enrollment in the framework of an Erasmus+ programme,  reports University Coordinator of Erasmus+ at WSG  to sign Financial agreement.

-Immediately after signing the agreement on the student's bank account hits 90% of the awarded scholarship. Next 10% of scholarship student receives upon return subject to appropriate documents related to the settlement of departure. Contact with University Coordinator to sign a financial agreement and discussing details.

  • Visa and Health Insurance

If your stay in Poland will last more than 3 months, you have to obtain a Student Visa. Please contact the Polish Embassy in your home country and learn the details of the visa application procedure. If you are from a country from European Union, we recommend you to contact with foreign University with the aim of obtaining information about the legalization of stay. We recommend also organizing health insurance before coming to a foreign country.

Attention: Students should have health insurance ( European health insurance card or private insurance ), covering medical expenses and contain provisions to cover civil responsibility and accident insurance.

Before coming departure the student should be familiar with the student card of Erasmus (Link to student card of Erasmus).

 

B. Studies at a foreign University

1. The Student during studies at a foreign University may ask the office of the Erasmus+ programme or contact International Affairs Office at WSG in every important issue for themselves.

2. Stay at a foreign University should last as long as specified in the agreement between WSG and the student. Stay at foreign studies can be reduced only in exceptional cases and provided in the written approval by the University Coordinator of Erasmus+ at WSG.

3. Student mobility can’t be shorter than 3months. In case if student mobility takes place on the last year of studies (Master or Bachelor) student is required to contact their thesis supervisor at WSG and provide further stages of Master/Bachelor thesis at the scheduled time by your thesis supervisor.

 

C. Formalities after return

1)After coming back from the host University you have to present the full set of documents signed by a foreign university:

Confirmation Letter

2)To the email, given in the process of recruitment, the student will also obtain a link to the Erasmus survey.

Filling it in is mandatory. Link to survey is to be sent on the email, which student has given in the process of recruitment.

3) The student is also obliged to submit language tests before and after mobility on the OLS platform. The link to the platform will be sent to the e-mail address provided by the student during the recruitment process.

4)The whole period of study as part of the Erasmus + program is included in the student's achievements. If the student did not obtain the required amount of ECTS points during studying at a foreign university, after return to the University of Economy should apply to its Institute with the request to state the subjects to pass, to obtain missing ECTS points. If the student obtained more ECTS points than required(30 points per semester), the University of Economy will credit them in addition to the diploma as additional points.

5) Every student also prepares a report from departure in English or Polish language. The report should contain at least 3600 signs and 10 described pictures. The report must be sent in 10 days after return from studies to: dsm@byd.pl. The material will be published on the website of the International Affairs Office.
